Provincetown June 6, 2013

This day marked our first official trip into Provincetown, the very tip of Cape Cod, here in Massachusetts. Where the first “OFFICIAL” Landing of the Pilgrims, took place back in Mid November of 1620, and they sent crews onward to their original destination currently known as the Town of Plymouth, Where Brett works, and where the Famous Plymouth Rock is located, or thereabouts.

Recognize any names?

Anyways, We scheduled a “date day” as he had worked for almost 3 weeks straight without a day off. We decided on The Cape, toyed with the idea of Provincetown, Chatham, or somewhere in between, he insisted on Provincetown so off we went. Straight to Race Point Beach we ventured in search of Seals and Right Whales. To our dismay there were only a few Seals in sight and not a single Whale to be seen. Checked Herring Cove Beach. The opposite side of Race Point…none. So off to venture down the infamous Commercial Street. We ate a pretty good dinner at George’s, sat on the deck, he had a Sausage, onion and pepper sub, I went with a small cheese pizza! Great day!

We plan to climb the Monument seen in the pictures below on our next adventure to Provincetown.
