Royal Wampanoag Cemetery
After we walked our Camera’s around the area of the Water Station, we stopped briefly at the car for a sip or twelve of our Gatorade’s we left behind. The area was so much more beautiful than the pictures tell of their tale. We headed back in the Direction in which we came toward the Cemetery we found a few days prior. Out of Rochester and back on the Lakeville side now full speed ahead to the Historical “Royal Wampanoag Cemetery” #32 on the town registry as an Official Cemeteries.
Whether true or False I know not…It does coincide with the other info offered online feel free to check it out and search away, if you find anything useful please send it my way as well. This was the most I was able to discover as the true public records began in 1853, a mere 33 yrs after poor Lydia’s death. I was able to find agreement of her demise. She died in July 1812. And that she is in the Family Tree of the Great Chief Massasoit. From the area.
I was also able to discover that she had 5 children…Pretty much it is either pay for “Know More”, or deal with what we have to offer. Frankly we stumbled upon her name. The ONLY Name in the Cemetery, So you will Know as Much as I do after your Search…Let me know what you think please feel free to leave your feedback.
